During a recent trip up North we noticed that many deep scars of man made 100 years ago as well as some smaller ones made decades ago have been erased by nature. Mountainside scars have been reclaimed by the sea, paths covered by wildflowers. Our impact on this planet are really infinitessimal compared to the passage of geologic time. We are but atoms in the universe.

The seal excrement is a temporary problem. Just let the ocean do its work. Winter storms will wash the sands. Whatever filth remains will be brought anew by man - dirty diapers, trash, etc. That's our part - keep the beaches clean or live in filth.

Its amazing how clean beaches and water can be when responsible people visit them and leave only footprints in wet sand.
