Good find, Steve. Excellent video. This area is known for them, but usually smaller. There's sometimes a pen maintained by Monterrey aquarium to the east of Dume with the little ones - about a mile off shore to the south from Paradise Cove.

Having dove, snorkeled and swum around Dume over the years, it makes one think - not sure if I'd like to see one of these approaching me. But they are majestic.

A few years back my buddy and I had 2 little 5 foot ones approach us off Catalina near Yellowtail Point in a heavy kelp forest. After several passes, they swam off and we tried to follow, but no way could we keep up. It was one of those dives you'll never forget.
