North Central Coast MPAs adopted by the Fish and Game Commision

On Wednesday August 5, 2009 the California Fish and Game Commission adopted the "preferred alternative plan" for the North Central Coast MPAs. The plan which will take effect on January 1, 2010 includes Point Arena and Arena Rock in a reserve, and Saunders Reef in an area that only allows commercial urchin harvesting and trolling for salmon.
