Redondo Canyon Pictures 8/23 - 8/29 |
Posted by Rick Coleman on August 29, 2009 at 20:52:16: This last week the while the swell was up in Orange County conditions were very nice in Redondo Beach and I was able to get in 4 dives at the Redondo Canyon – Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. My wife Susie joined me for 3 of the dives, missing Thursday night. At the end of the week the surf was completely flat with only a little wind chop. The best night for critters was Thursday with more nudibranchs than I’ve ever seen in the canyon. The vis was consistently nice all week, with Friday offering the sweetest conditions – calm and great vis all the way in through the shallows. Here’s some of our pictures: Pregnant Boxing Skeleton Shrimp Nudibranch – Flabellina... can anyone confirm which one?: Trash Collector: Juvenile Cabezon: Nudibranch - Ancathodoris Brunnea: Another Cabezon: Doriopsilla albopunctata: Jar Head: (Painted Greenling) Melibe leonine: Nudibranch Hanky Panky – Triopha Maculata: Nudibranch – Can anyone confirm identify?
