Went out to Catalina on Sat. smooth ride out in the morning. We dove Twin Rocks first. 50 or so foot vis and very warm water down to 50 feet. Didn't see and BSB's and my newbie buddy lost his brand new camera ;( If anyone finds a new Canon digital snapshot camera in a canon housing please drop me a line if you are so inclined,, Second dive was at the Harbor reef on the east wall adjacent to the marker post. Warm water and 50 foot vis down to 50 feet where there was a distinct thermocline and the vis was reduced to 25 feet by grainy particulate. We were going to try a third dive at Parsons but by then the wind had blown up from the west and there was a steep chop in the bay. The ride back was exhilirating with big white caps clear air.
