9/19 report |

Dove the Avalon wreck and a reef dive this morning, smooth sea conditions with a little long swell. We dropped in at the stern of the Avalon, milky conditions on the top and clearing to 20' vis at the bottom. We hung around the stern for a while and let my buddy take some pictures with his new, new camera, (he lost his last new camera at twin rocks a couple of weeks ago ;-( ) as we headed for the bow a little current picked up and vis dropped to 10 feet. water was fairly warm for that depth although I didn't check my thermometer so I don't know how warm. Second dive was a shallow reef dive scouting for a good place to go for opening day, vis was 5' at 40 feet with a little surge, saw a few bugs but not a lot like last week. I think they may have moved out a little deeper.
