| Lobster poaching at Marineland |

Someone got off to a great start of the season last night at Marineland. We found five fresh carapaces on the beach this morning. I guess the diver forgot that you have to wait until you get home to tail them. I guess he also thought it would be nice to leave the remains on the beach. He must have kicked up the bottom a lot, as the water was pretty milky in the cove and muddy elsewhere this morning. As far as my butt-whuppin' goes, Merry dragged me out tide-pooling today to Neptune Cove, Marineland, White Point and Cabrillo Beach. I'm pretty beat. I did get a shot of a flatworm, Pseudoallioplana californica crawling over the edge of a rock. |
