Here's a letter I sent Eric Spillman awhile back to invite them out shark diving, I reminded them again when they were at Terranea recently. It's important to get accurate info out to the public about sharks.Their broadcast at that time (July, 2007) was not shark friendly.

Hi Morning crew, I'm writing to invite Eric Spillman out for a day of
Shark interaction and education at Catalina Island. After seeing his
segment recently about the Blue Shark nearshore in Long Beach, I was
prompted to write and correct him about some facts about our numerous
local shark species. Indeed we have sharks nearshore all the time in
L.A. and Orange County, and some are fun and safe to swim with.

So I'd like to invite Eric and film crew out for a safe day of snokeling
with Leopard Sharks @ Catalina Island, or even scuba diving with Blue
Sharks and maybe some education about our local sharks and rays. We have
vessels and underwater videographers available.
