Jim,
I said all my custom sutis are made from yamamoto rubber, not all custom suits.
Most of the truly experienced (1000s of dives, 20 to 50 years of diving) diver I dive with all use custom skin-in suits becuase of superior warmth they provide. I know some that use off therrack suits for warm water, but only custom suits for here.
There is no off-the-rack suit that provides the warmth of a good custom 2-piece or 3 piece skin-in suit.
I do 5-7 one hour dives a day at San Miguel Island in my custom suit and stay warm. That is impossible in an off-the-rack suit.
