Go dive the inside wrecks on San Pedro Shelf. You'll find thousands of pounds of net. If you need a reef example, go check Farnsworth.

You'll see black flags everywhere on SPS, often right on the 3mi line.

I've seen fishing line but never a bundle of mono.
