I dunno if this counts, but my first set of gear was a double hose single diaphram Healthways. The diaphram was about 5 inches
across over double lever affair that pushed a button valve. It would stop breathing at about 80 feet and you had to go up to 70
if you wanted more air. It was fine for lobster hunting until you jammed that soft rubber hose against a rock. I got it at the
Simi swap meet for 10 bucks and got it worked over at Burbank Scuba Repair. The same guy gave me a 1800 psi champagne bottle
bottom 65 cubic foot tank with a cotton strap backpack. The brass reducer for the valve made some shops real nervous about
filling it. It was great though as that was back when the Coast Guard limited boat fills to 1800 psi.
The best part was I was young and nuts and I had such a great time.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
