That is why when the Nautilus Explorer (which was built in Canada) does an occasional California trip it begins the trip in Mexico. Or why when it does Alaska trips it does one end of the trip in Canada. This is part of the reason why all of the larger dive and fishing boats are over more than 30 years old. 2) The market for cold-water trips is much smaller than for warm water trips. 3) Most people don't want to and do not have the skill dive here. They only want to dive warm water and be led around by a DM.
