It is so important to be knowledgeable and preserve the very short history of the recreational diving world. Your fine web site is a big step in that direction. SoCal was the fountainhead of recreational diving; the first dive manufacturing company, Sea Net, the most diving equipment manufactures in the world, the world's first diving charter boat Mort Toggweiler's "Moray"with a teen age Ron Merker as the world's first dive boat deckhand, the first competitive Spear fishing meet, the worlds first dive magazine, "Skin Diver magazine" the first dive training "LA co UW instructors association." (Do you or others ever wonder why LACo are UW instructors and not referred to as SCUBA instructors?) Keep up the good work.. |
