I dove there in 1999 as part of some training I did with the
Kern Co Sheriff's Dept. The site was adjacent to the airport near where the Kern River feeds into the lake.

It was in June and the water level was slightly lower than
full, I seem to remember it being like 10 feet below the high
water erosions on shore. It was blistering hot that day too.

Vis was something like 6' and green the first 10-12 feet, then
it opened up with lights to about 25'.

Diving there this time of year will probably mean mucky
conditions with the recent rain run-off and purposely lower
holding levels in preparation of the upcoming epic snow melt.
