Hi All,

After some excursions to Marineland I found myself back at Point Dume this past Thursday night. Met a couple boys in possession of spears, bass and lobster; a DFG no-no! One or the other please. Big Kelp has been scoured down to bench rock by the recent storms. It is surreal to wander over a reef devoid of most growth. The cobble and sand beds are gone, out to at least thirty five feet deep on the west side. On more protected parts of the reef there are urchins, worms and anemonies. Here is a shot of what is left.
