I am amazed at this report and the report from PV of the GWS taking the halibut. What amazes me is the divers trying to hang onto their fish after the shark showed up and made aggressive moves toward the fish. The only time I've seen a "real shark" underwater I too had a couple of fish on my stringer. The very first thing I did was drop the stringer and then I went and "hid" behind a ledge. No fish is worth even a chance of an bite from a shark that is "in your face". Maybe courses should teach dropping the weight belt for certain dive emergencies and dropping the speared fish when Mr. Big wants it.
