Posted by jeff Shaw on May 02, 2010 at 17:29:00: Ross-O dove the Olympic today. Looked like a lame day to try, but what the heque. Yeah sure. We went for it, and the top 60 feet was really dirty. Then it opened up to a real 60 foot viz. Wow! We scootered around the wreck several times. Then the three guys showed up. Seemed like a rather short surface interval. But that is their biz.I could not resist buzzing by on the scooter. Well we went into deco and had to do a couple of stops. You know when you go down it is a bit of a mad race to the bottom. Rarely do we stop to smell the garden that Neptune gives us. Coming back up there is so much more time to look around. And look we did... What looked like grungy H2O on the way down revealed to us THE garden of all things clear. SO MANY SALPS, SO MANY JELLIES. Feather boa salps everywhere, sea butterflies, comb jellies, big jellies, and a bunch of other weird clear things. And I forgot my camera. Boo Hoo. Then we went to a nearby rock-pile. Dark and 2 foot viz. |
