Dive Report: San Clemente Island aboard the Great Escape : May 16, 2010 |

Last Sunday May 16, 2010 I went to San Clemente Island aboard the Great Escape. We did three dive on the front (lee) side of the island. The visibility was about 25 feet near the surface and degraded the deeper I went don to about 6 feet at depth of 130 feet. The water temperature was 60°F on the surface, and varied from 55° down to 53°F at 130 feet. The most interesting thing I observed was a translucent goby. It was the same size as the Blackeye gobies, but was see through. This is the first time I have seen this in California. I took lots of pictures, click on the link below to see them. ©2010 Chris Grossman, diver.net
