Our group dived South Laguna thur night. The surf was still in the 3'range, but the vis was 20', and the water temp in the shallows was 67 degrees. We saw something we have never seen before, there were baitfish washing up onto the beach, they were Anchovies that were being chased by Mackeral up onto the beach. We saw all the gamefish attacking the Anchovies, Calicos, Sandies, Sculpin, and huge schools of Mackeral were all feeding on the baitfish. We took two nice Halibut, I got a 27" 8lb flattie, and my buddie got a 32" 13lb fish. Finally very nice summer conditions are here, a great dive.
