Last Saturday June 13, 2010 Kathryn and went to Catalina aboard the Great Escape.

The water was warm, 62&def; on the surface and 56°F at 100 feet. However the visibility was not great, maybe 15 feet at best.

There was plenty of bait in the water.

Larry, a free diver got two nice yellowtail.

At the end of the first dive Kathryn and I found a four foot Angel Shark right under the boat. We were only ones on the boat who recognized it. Most of the other divers had to swim right by it, but never saw it.

On one dive I found the remains of a small crab's molt embedded in algae. When I touched it it disintegrated.

We saw ohte interesting creatures including a large navanax.

It was a great trip and if you did not go diving you missed a great weekend.
