We decided to dive Main Beach Laguna even though red tide was predicted. We got there and the water looked brown. But we know that at about 30' you can get below the red tide. We followed the Main Beach Pipe out to 60' of water, vis was 20' temp was 56 degrees, and I got my largest Halibut ever, 42" 31lbs. I was elated that I got this fish before the MLPA closes this entire area hunting, it was my flattie of a lifetime.
