A very generous article was written in the OC Coastkeeper Magazine recently. (See Derilict Traps and Nets article)

For the recored, SB 21 "passed" and is off to the Appropriations Commitee. Thanks to all that supported it by contacting their Sea'nators! SB 21 basically makes commercial fishers responsible for their lost gear, including ID'ing all their gear, and puts in place a modus for reporting their off shore loss' of said gear.
