The sub was originally 182 feet long. It is now 175'. The broken section sits in the sand away from the rest of the boat. Since it made a nose-dive to the sand, I figured the bow hit while the stern was still out of the water or else it would have slowed its descent once the stern dipped below the surface. It was a lucky guess.
