The California Artificial Reef Enhancement (CARE) Program, the Coalition for Enhanced Marine Resources (CEMR), Orange County Coastkeeper and the Coastal Conservation Network have collaborated to offer a conference focused on the scientific and comprehensive Rigs to Reefs study commissioned by the Ocean Protection Council. The Rigs to Reefs? Options for Platform Decommissioning Conference will discuss the scientific, economic and legal underpinnings of the issue. This year's conference will pick up where the 2007 Conference on Rigs to Reefs left off. Presentations will focus on the results of the Ocean Science Trust Study and provide a forum for discussion by stakeholders on both sides of the issue.
Date: 23 July, 0830-1530 HRS.
Location: Waterfront Hilton, Huntington Beach, CA.
Registration: $50. Registrations received after 21 July will have a $10 late fee.
