Dive report; Marineland Platform |
Posted by Max Bottomtime on August 07, 2010 at 20:08:51:
We enjoyed the best visibility we've seen on the platform today. It was at least twenty-five feet and we could see it from forty feet above. The posts were covered with juvenile California Scorpionfish. Some spots had a half dozen resting together. The main draw of the platform, nudibranchs, seemed to be on vacation. I only saw a half dozen species, but I did find my first Aegires albopunctatus. While I was on a nudi hunt, Merry shot video. It's nice to have good enough visibility for photography once in awhile. Maybe it will make me forget how bad it's been all year.
