Gear question - compasses... old gear question

I lost my compass in Albion Cove. I figured any old compass would fit the boot... Well CIS and the Evil Empire say that they don't
have anything that will stay in my boot. I guess it's an old US Divers. Pacific Wilderness said come by and they'll see. Yah...
I'm in the Valley.
Anyway, what am I up against? Any suggestions?
