8:53 down, 8:58 at 108', 9:06 at safety stop, 9:09 on surface. Says he lost the rig somewhere between 60 and 108 feet, so he drifted in the current in the blue for about 11 minutes at roughly 100 feet/minute.

Thal also wrote: "1,100 feet away . . . about goalpost to goalpost on a football field . . ."

A football field is actually 100 yards long, which is 300 feet. This is almost FOUR football fields away.
