Unless there is a tropical storm or hurricane, Cozumel around Thanksgiving has wonderful diving. Water can be a little cooler; I wear a shortie instead of just my swim suit on the deeper dives. Some friends of ours dive Cozumel almost every year around turkey day.

December would be a bit safer, as its generally beyond hurricane season.
