The Great Escape dive boat is pleased to announce our new “No Frills Special.”

The No Frills Trip is a great bargain which includes..
- 2 local dives from a large and stable boat
- one airfill included
- Snacks and soda’s included
- You’ll get back to the dock early in the afternoon.

The following “No Frills” trips are scheduled:

Saturday Dec 4th $79.00
Sunday Dec 12th, $79.00

The “No Frills Special” is a two tank dive trip designed to help reduce the cost of diving and not take up your entire day.

We’ll leave the dock at 22nd Street Landing at 8AM and make a short and quick 1 hour or less run out to the first dive site. The dive site chosen will be dependent on the weather and swell direction that day.. We intend to dive some of the local LA Basin area shipwrecks such as the Olympic, or some of the game rich reefs located in the horseshoe kelp area.

After the first dive, a 3000 psi air tank fill will be included from our onboard compressors, and during the short move to the 2nd dive site you can enjoy a snack of fresh fruit and our fresh baked delicious Monkey Bread, plus sodas, coffee, and tea.

A 2nd dive will be made in either the same area or we may move towards Old Marineland or the Palos Verdes region and explore some of the spectacular reefs that are in that area. If you’ve never dove PV you are missing out on some of the best diving and game hunting in the area. Here there are deep upwelling currents which make the marine life in this area lush and a bit different than at Catalina.

After the 2nd dive during our drive back to the dock enjoy a snack of fresh baked brownies and ice cream. Our intent is to get you back to the dock around 1pm, that way you can make it home and still enjoy the afternoon!

Parking is free and feel free to bunk overnight on the boat prior if that is convenient. To help reduce costs there will be no breakfast and no lunch service offered on the “no frills” trips. Just fruit and snacks and sodas. ou may bring a small cooler or snacks if desired.

The Great Escape is the largest boat in the LA / Long Beach harbor basin at 80' long and 25' wide. It’s a very stable ride. We have bunks, staterooms, a full sit down galley, 2 heads, 4 hot fresh water showers, a camera assembly station, fresh water rinse tanks and lots of fun. The boat is located at the 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro. Tanks and weights are not included, you must supply your own gear.
