Everything Ken said is exactly right. In fact, both he and I made an impassioned plea to correct this issue and were told that the no anchor area would not be extended. This same issue happened in Laguna Beach designated a no anchor area and that was just corrected ()I hope!) Several of these types of surprises have arisen and been corrected. They say it was an Artifact of the process, whatever that means.

I will be contacting the appropriate people about this and encourage those who are interested to write letters to the F&GG Commission with a copy to Ken Wiseman or Melissa Miller-Henson at the MLPA I-Team.

What Ken mentioned about diver participation was spot-on! IMHO, the majority of the participation from the diving community came from the spear fishing community who, along with recreational fishing, was vocal, involved and aware of the issues.
