Gray whale at Point Vicente today |
Posted by Merry on January 01, 2011 at 16:33:17: Heading home from our dive, Phil and I made a detour to check out the kelp near Point Vicente. While we were at idling speed, looking down the kelp and making visibility predictions for tomorrow, a gray whale surfaced right in front of us. Yikes! I couldn't believe it. The whale remained in the area, leisurely snorkeling this way and that, but generally heading east. Although we didn't have our video camera on board (for once), here's a short video from my Fuji E900. |
