Today John Olguin passed away.

He was 90.

The list of accomplishments are too numerous to remember or list.

Here are a few,

Director of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium
Started local whale watches.
Put the blue lights on the Vincent Thomas bridge.
Prevented the demolition of the PT Fermin lighthouse. Bodies in front of bulldozers on that one.
Rowed to San Pedro from alaska with his wife.
Went to both my weddings...
