L.A. County is the longest established scuba certification agency. They predate both PADI anf NAUI. They have not watered down their requirements like PADI. They have the best certifications for new divers.


I do not personally know any of the LA County instructors in OC, but there are several listed. I recommend you talk with several before you choose the one that is right for you.

I personally would avoid any of the pseudo-tech certifications from the here today gone tomorrow agencies.
