The Disabled Veterans SCUBA Project is sponsoring a H.S.A. Dive Master/Instructor and Dive Buddy Certification course Feb 24-27 2011 in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area (most likely Long Beach). We are running this course over 4 days to include a Discover SCUBA event for area handicapped to give real hands on experience.

This is a tough course and cost as follows:
Dive Buddy $325 plus dive boat ($120) includes registration.
Dive Master/Dive Instructor $375 plus dive boat ($120) including slates and registration.
Prerequisites - experienced SCUBA diver who is comfortable in the water and has excellent buoyancy control and is able to do the basics of share air, tired buddy tow with rescue breathing, CESA etc. DM/Instructors must already be certified by another agency as this is only a cross over course.

You will learn to teach paralyzed (paraplegic and quadriplegic), blind and other disabilities to SCUBA dive.
