How much swell would you consider *too much* - Diving around PV (Haggerty's, Flat Rock)

Hello divers!

I'm new to this board, and very happy to be here. My husband and I are new to diving, we're going on our 13th dive, diving mostly from our sailboat (Catalina 30') which we just moved to King Harbor so we have access to the great diving around PV.

My question is about looking at swell reports (now I'm looking at magicseaweed.com), when deciding whether to go diving. We're great swimmers, comfortable in the water. If the swell is pretty much on your nose for the spots you're considering to dive, what's the point when you decide to stay home? In this case I'm referring to diving around the north side of PV (Haggerty's, Flat Rock, etc.).

Thanks so much in advance for any input.
