We hope to expand the continental thermograph coverage considerably over the next few years for our Santa Ana Wind effects on the ocean study, with Malibu being next in line to be instrumented.
Regarding other instrumetation, perhaps you know of our pilot project at WIES on Catalina, where multiple sensors have been deployed on a mooring. This project is to determine the feasilibity of maintaining these instruments as the retrieval/calibration/redeployment is labor intensive.
And, of course, though much of the effort is donated, financial resources are needed to purchase the sensors and calibration materials. All donations to the Catalina Marine Society are tax deductible (www.catalinamarinesociety.org).
