Phacellophora camtschatica (Fried Egg Jelly) Polyps |
Posted by Chris on February 11, 2011 at 09:58:57: Last weekend when I dove The Star of Scotland with the Sea Divers I observed dense clusters of what looked to me like white zooanthinds hanging upside down in receded dark areas on the wreck. It turns out they are dense clusters the polyp stage of a Phacellophora camtschatica (Fried Egg Jelly). This is the first time I had seen this. Perhaps we are due for a Phacellophora camtschatica (Fried Egg Jelly) later this year.
