Im a vintage diver and a minimalist diver.

When I dive vintage I use a DA Aquamaster double hose with a tank strapped directly to my back, no BC, no SPG. I use a J valve and my watch.

When I dive minimalist I use modern stuff but only one second stage, no BC.

If I decide to dive with other people who are uncomfortable with a diver in vintage or minimalist gear then I put on a regular configuration for their benefit including two 2nd stages, and a wing.

If I'm planning to go real deep then I also use a modern configuration.

My vintage scene is good down to about 40-50 feet, for me.
