Posted by Diver Z on March 02, 2011 at 13:01:10: My family will probably be visiting Oahu for the first time in a few weeks. We've stayed on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island over the years, but never Oahu except for changing planes. Around the first of April, does the north shore sound like a bad -- or good -- idea? I know at least on the other islands some times of the year the swell and weather is from the north and it can make the water not too inviting. What part of the island would be the best area to stay for snorkeling and swimming etc? Any particular resorts or dive ops you've liked?
