Read the actual science. Not the summaries, abstracts or whatever BS various organizations say and spin in either direction. Analyse the primary data, i.e. peer reviewed science in real journals of biology and marine biology. It is your choice but unfortunately, 90% of people are just blowing smoke from what someone else "told them".

The data, as I interpret it, is clear that not only do large MPA allow recovery within the area but also provide for increased fish/animals and harvest in adjacent areas. The most compelling long term data comes from New Zealand in my view.
