We're hoping for another big year for Chamber Day and specifically for the Chamber Challenge. In these uncertain economic times, it's hard to predict what the future holds for events like ours. But we hope those of you who care about our Chamber can dig deep once again, and help us provide the financial security net that our Chamber - and we - need.

And we're off to an excellent start.

We start off with our $1000 Gold donors and the pack is led this year by the folks at Pacific Wilderness. They're followed by the joint donation from Laurie Kasper & Ken Kurtis. We follow that up with Silver donor Karl Huggins. Two of those names should not only sound familiar to you, but should also underscore that while Karl & Ken will (especially Ken) will be "encouraging" you to be generous with your support of our Chamber this year, both Karl & Ken talk the talk and walk the walk. And they're very happy to be in the first wave of donors.

Also donating at the Gold level again this year is Sport Chalet (Clara Galvan and some other Sport Chalet staff also donate time to the Steering Committee). Other Silver level donors include Eo Ong & the Burbank Dive Club as well as Robin McMunn.

You will notice this year that some of our donors have (MT) after their names. This indicates that they have donated to the mark Tulin Memorial Fund, in memory of longtime Chamber Super4visor Mark Tulin, who died suddenly at the end of February. Those we miss Mark terribly, his memory will live on through these memorial donations.

But a good start doesn’t do us as much good as sustained momentum and a strong finish. So . . . Who’s next? Who will help push past $6000?
