Posted by Chris on March 23, 2011 at 11:11:46: Last Friday March 18, 2011 I did a 8AM dive at Hen Rock on the front side of Santa Catalina Island, California from the Great Escape.  Hen Rock Santa Catalina Island, California While swimming around out in the sand at about 60 feet I encountered a Pleurobranchaea californica. This specimen was approximately 8cm long. The pictures I took of it are below.
