They are not for everyone or for every dive. The buoyancy got a little mention earlier. You do need extra weight with these FFM jobs. I have often wondered where they fit into a recreational scenario. I thought the only use would be very cold water.

I know it is not communication. I don't even like to use a slate to 'chat' underwater when I am fun-diving.

But if you need to communicate, like chatting thru the glass in an exhibit in an aquarium, they fill the bill.
