The Spirit of America wreck off Santa Cruz Island gave us a beautiful dive on Sunday. Resting in 60 fsw, fairly intact, absolutely bursting with invertebrates, and sporting many fish.

While Phil was off taking WA of the wreck, I found 2 species of snail in the same family, Triviidae.

Paul Kanner (Sheller) kindly identified this one as Erato vitellina, the Appleseed Erato.

Trivia californiana, the California Trivia or coffeebean has it's mantle partially retracted.

It must have been snail week, because we saw 5 Calliostoma annulatum, the Blue-Ring Topsnail, on Buchanan's Reef. This one was fairly large.

But this blue-ring was a mere speck on the lacy bryozoan. I wasn't sure what it was until I saw the photo.
