CHAMBER CHALLENGE 2011 - UPDATE #10 - $44,198 (posted 4/25 - last updated 4/21)

We've passed $44,000 . . .

This is truly amazing when you stop to remember that the very first Chamber Day in 1989 netted a grand total of $17,000 . . . FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT. So, even though we've greatly expanded the event since then, it's quite gratifying to see this type of response from the diving community.

We have another Silver donor in the personage of Don Lake, a longtime diver and supporter of the Chamber. In addition, we have a number of donations remembering Mark Tulin. But we should also point out that there are donations in memory of Tomas Rosenfeld and Dr. Susan Grant.

And that prompts us to remind you that if you'd like to make a donation in anyone's memory, there's a little check-box on the Challenge donation page that allows you to do so. As you scan our list, in addition to those set aside specifically for Mark, you will note a number of others in memory of someone else.

We're only nine days away from the big event and we've still got some ground to cover. Remember that every dollar goes to your Chamber and every donation allows the Chamber to stand better prepared for divers in need.

So who's next??? Who will help push us past $45,000?
