We decided to use up some "points" hotel rooms and take the tiny Civic Hybrid and dive somewhere different. Lake Mojave Scuba in Bullhead City was helpful and we dove at CabinSite Point. There was a School Bus and a Motorhome in 55 feet of water and a cute skeleton pointing the way back to shore. We saw scattered big fish (carp?). There was a 1-foot chop and it was crazy windy, but a very easy dive because you unload your gear right at the shoreline! Plus, mostly paved road to get to the dive site.

At Lake Mead we dove at Kingman Wash which was a little bit harder to get to. About a 4-mile drive on a bumpy dirt road, but my little Honda made it. Again we parked right at shores' edge, next to a launch ramp which made it super easy to get into the 61-degree water. We saw a BBQ party set up - Table, chairs, BBQ, shade tent - all at 40 feet. We saw a school of yellow-striped good sized fish and a dark catfish. Despite the forecast of wind, it was quite nice, maybe a 4" chop. Lots of fun!

And then there was all the great buffet food at Vegas.
