There was a little bit of everything at the site today. Clear surface water to 40', chunky brown stuff to 60', better below that. Several sea lions buzzed Frank and Charlie, and the fried egg jellies kept coming.


For John Bibb, corynactis enthusiast: The unusual color of this small colony caught my eye.

For a minute, we thought a sea spider was crawling on this Tritonia festiva.

However, it appears to be a munnid isopod in a chance encounter.

The fried egg jellies ranged from grapefruit to beach ball size.
