Free REEF California Fishinars online Wed 5/11‏ |
Posted by Gerald on May 09, 2011 at 15:58:00: Whether you want to call them Fishinars or Webinars, it's a great way to learn local California Fish ID from the comfort of your own home - they're fun AND free! Two sessions are scheduled for Wednesday evening May 11th: 7pm Rockfish Rock (most common Rockfish found in California) Great for first-timers or those wanting a review. These short, free webinars will teach you the finer points of identifying our local fish and invertebrates underwater. Janna Nichols from REEF will be the instructor (watch out!) Classes are open to divers and non-divers alike. Anyone wanting to know more about our local underwater residents is welcome to join in. We will be using the REEF curriculum, and we hope you'll want to do REEF surveys and help monitor California marine life populations on your dives. Although classes are free, you must register for each session you'd like to attend. Links to registration are found here: http://www.pnwscuba.com/critterwatchers/classes.htm Hope to see you there!
