Probable the single most devastating thing that has happened to the dive boat industry is the stairs at Casino Point at Catalina. Now shops and stores can go to Catalina without the commitment to the dive boats or financial obligations.
I have started a new charter to try and change that and competing with the Catalina express boats only going to Casino Point and this weekend Saturday the 16th starts it.
I have a question for you divers that go to Casino Point. Are you tired of diving the exact same place every weekend, with the same crowds, and the same problems of divers and their instructors using the stairs to suit up and get their students ready to go into the water?
On Great Escape you will get two different dive sights without the crowds. A great boat to stay on, no parking fees, and if needed or wanted at no extra charge, sleeping on board the night before and really great food for a nominal fee.
Now if you want to come aboard our full live aboard trips, that is a different story. Many shops charter us for that to many different locations, including Begg Rock, Cortez Banks, Tanner Banks, Osborn Banks, along with all the different islands. We also offer 2 to 5 day live aboards, and we are the largest Live a Board dive boat in the LA area.
