After dirty water on the San Pedro Shelf last week, the "Kate" ran out to the Isthmus area on Catalina on Sat. to see clear water. Vis was good at 40+ and surface water 65 degrees. Sun came out around noond and it was a lovely day. Finally summer diving. We had company in the form of the Westerly - the old Westerly is now a fishing boat. Had two photographers on board and I expect they got some great shots. On the way home, pods of midget common dolphin showed up with new borns. Some of the smallest dolphin any of us had ever seen. Of course a couple of calico came on board - orders from the Admiral.
